For New Students

Welcome to the iSchool!

Welcome to the University of Arizona iSchool, the state's premier institution for information studies and technology education. As the only iSchool in Arizona, we are dedicated to providing a world-class education that equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career across diverse fields.

Now that you have been admitted to the iSchool, there are numerous steps to take to prepare for your academic journey, and our team is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals from this moment forward.

Below is some information on next steps and important reminders as you gear up for the start of the semester.

Next Steps

  1. Accept your offer of admission
  2. Create a UA Net ID
  3. Update your information as needed in the UAccess Student Center
  4. Get your student ID/CatCard
  5. Register for class

Important Reminders

All new main campus students will have a Campus Health Immunization hold placed on their account which prevents registration. To meet health and safety requirements, you are required to submit your Campus Health Immunization Records before signing up for classes. To learn more, visit the Campus Health.

Were you admitted with unofficial documents? Don’t forget to send your official transcripts to si-transcripts@arizona.edu. Official documents need to be received before the end of your first semester to avoid a registration hold being placed on your account.

Note: Students can check for holds on their account via the student center.

Master’s students in the iSchool should expect to be self-funded. If you are interested in exploring graduate funding opportunities, create your UA Net ID and complete your FAFSA to qualify (only domestic students need to complete the FAFSA).
