By automating the processing of massive volumes of biometric data derived from wearable sensors, the HRVEST tool created by Yale and UArizona researchers not only streamlines the extraction of meaningful metrics but also introduces a robust methodology for noise filtration and data quality assurance in emergency healthcare.

The iSchool provided VR goggles to a University of Arizona crew of artists who participated in a simulated weeklong moon mission at Biosphere 2. The crew of four includes an alumna of the MA in Library and Information Science program.

A team of UArizona iSchool, Department of Computer Science and Norton School of Human Ecology researchers will explore the key processes that govern teamwork in hybrid human-AI teams through a two-year grant of more than $882,000 made by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory.

Dr. Steven Bethard joined the iSchool in 2016 after serving as an assistant professor of computer and information science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research focuses on natural language processing and machine learning theory and applications. He teaches Neural Networks, advises students in the PhD in Information and oversees student directed research.

PlanetScape—an immersive experience and multimedia performance—is a collaboration between the iSchool and University of Arizona School of Music, School of Dance, Department of Astronomy, Research Technologies Department, and Live and Immersive Art. It takes place January 22-26, 2024.
