Waivers for the University of Arizona Graduate College application to the PhD in Information Graduate College may be available for select applicants, based on conditions and University of Arizona guidelines. If you are seeking a waiver, please email si_admissions@arizona.edu.
The PhD in Information has a hard application deadline, and we do not accept applications after that deadline:
Yes. The iSchool successfully supports all PhD students in securing funding, including full tuition plus a stipend for living expenses, through at least four years of the program.
PhD students may also apply for an additional Fellowship Scholarship of $2,500 each semester.
Yes, you are welcome to apply to the PhD in Information with only a bachelor's degree. You will need to meet the program's minimum requirements, and where a student doesn't meet the minimum requirements, we may recommend application and admission to an iSchool master's program as a path into our PhD program.

The PhD in Information requires comprehensive examinations, a dissertation proposal, completion of the dissertation and a dissertation defense.
