We'll explore AI's vital role in shaping democratic processes, focusing on civil discourse, challenges of mis- or disinformation and impact on voters. AI algorithms can help detect and counter false narratives, provide fact-checking, bolster participation and accessibility, and allow us to consider issues like privacy, bias and exclusions. With perspectives from information and political scientists, journalists and discourse-driven experts, we invite you to engage in a lively exchange of ideas on the promises and pitfalls of AI in shaping the future of democracy.
