Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery Supervisor

University of California, Riverside (UCR) has a position opening for an Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery Supervisor.

Reporting to the Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery (ADD) Director, the Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support for the acquisitions, cataloging, and metadata creation functions of the department. This position supervises eight staff who perform a variety of duties, including ordering, receiving, invoicing, claiming, copy cataloging, original cataloging, and metadata creation for digital objects. This position also helps to establish and modify procedures and workflows in consultation with an ADD librarian and other library staff and librarians, as required.

The Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery department was recently formed due to the merger of the Acquisitions unit and the Metadata and Technical Services department. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
