Join DBM Vircon as a Computer Science Intern and immerse yourself in a dynamic role where you'll contribute to essential tasks such as data extraction, transformation, and loading, alongside designing REGEX terms and developing applications for data comparison and cloud storage migration. You'll gain hands-on experience in MS Excel, data management, and database operations, including pivot tables, filters, and report generation. Additionally, you'll apply your skills in reading XML, writing regex rules for data extraction, and understanding ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting architecture. This position is established within the industrial engineering field, where you will be able to familiarize yourself with common engineering applications and techniques.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our database or data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain regex rules to extract relevant data or tags from different file types, such as XML and PDF.
- Create applications and scripts for automating data comparison tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data analysis.
- Build automated solutions for moving files into cloud storage platforms, optimizing data accessibility and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop tailored automation solutions to meet their needs.
- Continuously assess and improve existing automation processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our database or data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain regex rules to extract relevant data or tags from different file types, such as XML and PDF.
- Create applications and scripts for automating data comparison tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data analysis.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop tailored automation solutions to meet their needs.
- Continuously assess and improve existing automation processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Education and Training:
- Must be a currently enrolled student seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related discipline (Construction Management, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related fields)
- Previous experience in a similar role or certifications in relevant technologies or programming languages is highly preferred.
Software and Technology:
- Proven experience in automation tools such as .NET, LISP, batch files, PowerShell, and Excel VBA macros.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, with advanced skills in data management and manipulation, including pivot tables, data query, filters, and report generation.
- Strong knowledge of XML parsing and regex, with the ability to write regex rules for data extraction from different file types.
