Intel's Sales, Marketing and Communications Group (SMG) is looking for candidates to join our organization for a 12-week Summer 2024 internship. SMG is collectively responsible for driving the accelerated adoption of Intel technology. As a Sales Operations Analyst Intern in Operations, you will be responsible for deriving market insights relevant to Intel products, forecasting market demand and consumption, and influencing a wide range of business decisions including manufacturing build plan, financial plan, and/or product roadmap and pricing strategies. You will apart of teams that works across several stakeholder groups and is responsible for setting and executing product platform strategies, analyzing market insights, forecasting demand, and managing revenue and consumption. SMG offers all interns opportunities to network and engage with our broader teams to explore all facets of SMG and Intel. Intel's Sales, Marketing and Communications Groups (SMG) organization works with global customers and partners to solve critical business problems with Intel based technology solutions. SMG works across business units to amplify the customer voice and deliver solutions that accelerate their business. The operations team focuses on forecasting, driving alignment with factory production and delivering efficiency tools and our marketing capability drives demand and localized marketing in locations around the globe. The Operations Analyst Intern scope could include but is not limited to:

  • Derive analytical market insights by analyzing a wide range of market indicators and confidential internal data.
  • Forecast market demand for Intel's data center or client computing product portfolio.
  • Create forecast scenarios to support potential marketing initiatives and/or to assess drivers of supply and demand variability.
  • Improve the current business process and forecasting/analysis models.
  • Highlight opportunities to utilize new analytics tools.
  • Influence key stakeholders and senior management with analytical insights and effective communication skills

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor's degree with three years related job experience. This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a bachelor's degree and less than three years' experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled full time and pursuing a Masters or MBA degree in Business Management, Economics, Supply Chain, Accounting, Statics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Must be enrolled and progressing in a degree earning program during the internship, with a graduation date after the completion of internship.
  • Ability to work full time (40hrs/week) for approximately 12 weeks between May-Septermber'24

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of corporate strategy, marketing, sales, business operations, or business analytics.
  • Ability to solicit and listen to critical feedback to improve forecast, while simultaneously demonstrating confidence in numbers and analysis
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Experience engaging with and supporting customers.
  • Experience using Excel, Access, Vizio, Power BI, Tableau, or other business analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Intel Architecture products and customers and a working knowledge of broader PC market drivers and trends
