Paloma Mello Haro

Paloma Mello Haro is the faculty affairs coordinator for the iSchool. In this role, she supports faculty and administrative staff to ensure the smooth operation of faculty-related processes and events. She organizes documentation for faculty promotions and reviews, provides guidance on university policies and assists faculty development programs.

Before joining the iSchool, Mello Haro worked at the International Faculty and Scholars office and was responsible for managing the J-1 program in compliance with the Department of State. The J-1 program allows international visiting researchers and professors to contribute to university research and academic programs. She has also worked with international students at International Student Services.

Mello Haro is originally from Brazil. She earned her BA in Journalism from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and her Master of Legal Studies from the James E. Rogers College of Law, both at the University of Arizona.

She is passionate about cultural diversity and higher education.
